Dear Readers

This year’s Urban Rail Conference (formerly known as The Light Rail Conference) will take place from 18-19 July 2022 at the QT, Gold Coast, Australia.

From light to suburban rail and metro, Urban Rail 2022 will bring together operators, manufacturers, contractors and government stakeholders across every level of the passenger rail sector to hear cutting-edge case studies, project updates and learn from successful projects in Australasia and the world. Urban rail is reshaping the Australasian landscape by reducing traffic congestion and greenhouse emissions and transforming the way we travel by offering smart solutions and completing multimodal connections. With transport planning refining our cities and regions, now is the time to build a long-term, strategic urban rail future that benefits all by helping cities work seamlessly by improving connectivity with other modes of transport.
